Cari amici,
Vi volevo ricordare che la prossima riunione di CAP sarà come previsto questo Giovedì 12 Giugno alle 19h. Avremmo l’opportunità di confrontarci e discutere con John Bell, Capo Gabinetto della Commissaria Meglena Kuneva. L’incontro si svolgerà in Inglese. Voglio ancora una volta ringraziare Mattia Pellegrini che è stato il promotore di questo evento. Eccovi una presentazione di John Bell : John Bell is Head of Cabinet to the European Commissioner for Consumer Protection, Meglena Kuneva. He had previously been Head of Strategy & Analysis in the Health and Consumer Protection Directorate General of the European Commission dealing with Better Regulation, future SANCO Strategy and modern governance. He has been a Commission official since 1993. Since then he has worked on a range of issues from project and financial management on ex-Yugoslavia, to public administration reform across Central and Eastern Europe. As Poland Country desk he managed the Europe Agreement’s trade, legislative and political pre-accession relations and prepared the Commission’s Opinion on Poland’s Membership. He has also managed the Commission project for the development of the College of Europe, Natolin campus. As a member of cabinet with Commissioner David Byrne (EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection 1999-2004) he was responsible for health and enlargement issues within the portfolio, alongside which he dealt with Financial Perspectives, the financial and administrative reforms, SPP and regional and social policy. Prior to entering the Commission he completed his doctorate on cultural nationalism in Northern Ireland at St. John’s College, Oxford, which followed his academic career specialising in Anglo-Irish studies at University College Dublin. Born in Dublin in 1963, he is married to Jacqueline Tordoir, with three young children Olivia, Sean and Daniela.
